It’s time to lay out all the facts about Foamcore Boards, otherwise knows as foamboard, 3/16” mounting boards or just plain ol’ white boards. Regardless, it’s one of more popular items, so let’s dig in:
Mounting It
All of the boards that we sell include a pre-applied heat-activated adhesive. Simply place your print on the board and run it through your roll laminator. If you don’t have a roll laminator, you can use spray adhesive to coat the board before mounting by hand.
Cutting It
There are a number of safe, effective and low-cost ways to cut foamcore. For low-cost solutions, check out our FoamWerks cutters or ImageEdge ruler cutter. For mid-range options, check out the Simplex, Javelin or SircleTrim cutters. And for the highest-quality, heavy-duty option, check out the Excalibur 1000.
Hanging / Displaying It
You’ve got the final product…now how do you display it? For a simple and cost-effective solution, check out the Twist-n-Hook Foamcore Hangers. And for a higher-quality, heavier-duty option, consider the Stimpson 405 Grommet Press with special XL Grommets for use with foamcore.
Protecting It
Don’t forget those Plastic Corner Protestors – foamcore is fragile and those corners tend to get beat-up quickly. Don’t let that happen to you!
Getting It To You
Foamcore is very fragile – ever notice those single sheets that are sold in Hobby Lobby or your local craft sore? Most of them are always bent, wrinkled or crushed. So how do we get our boards to you safe and sound? CFS ships from over 25 distribution points around the country! More than likely, your boards will only need to travel a short distance to your doorstep. We also provide extra padding in our boxes to avoid damage in transit.
So there you have it, all the facts your could fathom about foamcore. Got a foamcore tip to share? We’d love to hear it.
