Q: Why do I seem to get frequent staple jams in my Rapid 106 Stapler?
A: More than likely you are using Red Streak staples – these budget priced staples usually feature a red diagonal stripe on the box and a red streak along the top of the staple bricks that you insert into your stapler. Our extensive tests have revealed that these staples will frequently jam the head of the Rapid 106 Electric Stapler and will not provide consistent, reliable operation in this machine.
We recommend that you use staples that come in the White boxes (manufactured by ISP/DeLuxe) or the blue boxes (by Rapid/Salco) – see the image above. These staples are guaranteed to work smoothly and provide perfect operation in your Rapid electric staplers.
UPDATE: The ISP white box staples are no longer manufactured however we have researched the original manufacturer in Sweden and now carry them in blue boxes and they are guaranteed to work.
