This week we are proud to feature our first ‘guest blogger:’ Matt Bond – Service Manager for CFS Products. Matt has helped us to prepare the following technical tips that come in extremely handy when trying to install or adjust your new stapler. Take it away Matt:
The Rapid 106 Electric Stapler is one of our most popular machines…and because of that, it’s one that we get many questions about. Following are the answers to some of the most common questions that we receive. We’ve also created a Rapid 106 Set-Up/Technical Video to demonstrate some of these procedures:
Q: How do I set-up the Rapid 106?
A: We know the instructions are poor – watch our video below.
Q: My staple head keeps jamming, what do I do?
A: Adjust the staple head to anvil alignment – follow the process in question below or watch the video for a demonstration.
Q: How do I adjust the staple head to anvil alignment?
A: 1. Loosen the two bolts that hold the staple head bracket to the base of the Rapid 106.
2. Push the head down to the anvil and align the face of the head (where the staples come out) to the face of the anvil so it is even (see video for ‘thumb technique’).
3. Tighten the two bolts on the staple head bracket.
4. Test with the power off. Staple two sheet of paper by pushing the staple head down manually. Make sure it staples smooth (same feel as a desktop stapler). Both staple legs should be formed evenly with no sharp edges.
Q: The staple magazine won’t open.
A: Make sure the staple head driver (top of staple head) is pulled all the way up to clear the staple magazine.
Q: Can I order a part for the staple head?
A: No, Individual parts for the staple head aren’t available. It is better to order the complete head. You can order a replacement Rapid 106 Staple Head online.
We hope this information helps to keep your Rapid 106 up and running. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact CFS Technical Support at 888-237-3221 – Option 2.
