I’ve noticed recently that this access to instant communication has dramatically increased my expectations as a customer. Just this past week I helped some friends buy a used car. Using only my iPhone, we would search for cars on Craigslist, call the potential seller, then plug the directions into my GPS – moments later we were taking that car for a test drive.
Of the dozens of sellers that we contacted, very few of them responded quickly enough to schedule a test drive. The other calls, emails and texts continue to trickle in – days after we made our purchase. They missed the boat (or car for thart matter).
